Their contributions to the community of Hanford were great., Scotty was preceded in death by his wife, Alice, his parents, Alger & Mildred Scott, and his brother Royal Scott. Those who knew Scotty and Alice remember them as active community members. He was very professional, and a true craftsman. Clients knew Scotty paid tremendous attention to detail. However, there were many friends, business associates and employees and the Scott's were well known in Hanford, as partner/owners of Star Stenographic Services. After the war ended, they came to live near Scotty's family, in Hanford., Scotty and Alice had no children. They met while working at Kaiser Permanente during WWII. Scotty had a passion for understanding how things operated, and well into his retirement, enjoyed tinkering in his garage and on the equipment that he had operated for so many years., Scotty was married to Alice Howard Scott. As Scotty got older, his speech was slower, but his stories held your attention. Well into his 90's, he could recollect the tiniest details of most events in his life. Scotty also worked for Kaiser Permanente, Hitchcock Transportation and Don Keith Trucking, before joining his wife, Alice, in operating Star Stenographic Services, in 1958., Those who knew Scotty, will remember a man with an incredible intellect. Scotty's family moved to Hanford during his High School years, and as a young man, Scotty found himself working side-by-side with his father, at the Belridge Oil Company. Adam was involved with the 95th Bomb Group (a World War II reunion association) which was the squadron he served during World War II. Adam hosted an American Field Service (AFS) exchange student in 1969, Peter Rado, from Italy., Adam was an active member of St. In addition to his daughter Jo Ann and his son John, Adam also added "adopted" many additional children that he included in his extended family: Robert Cox of San Diego, Laney Baltazar of Lemoore, Michael Baltazar (his "grandson") of Fresno, Rickie and Duane Souza, and Susette and Dave Ecker of Lemoore, and Rick Chapman and Jan Mooney of Reno, Sandi Everhart, Jim Hyberg and Barbara Spencer of Fresno and Kathy Sackett of Hanford. His wife Annie, passed away in March 2006. Adam and Annie celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in September 2005. He is also survived by a half-sister, Josephine Stanton, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He met his future wife Annie Robertson on a double date while up in Scotland. He was stationed in Horham, England during. He graduated from Lemoore High in 1941 and joined the war effort by enlisting in the US Army Air Corps.
